Tuesday, June 16, 2020 Public Hearings
There are 3 important public hearings scheduled for June 16, starting at 5:30 pm. The meetings will be conducted by the Planning Commission and Town Council through Zoom Video Conferencing:
Here is the hearing schedule, subject to change, based on the length of the public comment periods:
5:30 pm - Land Use Public Hearing, run by PC, via Zoom. PC will present proposed code changes and take public comment.
6:00 pm - PC meeting, also transmitted via Zoom. Very brief meeting to discuss and approve their recommended land use code changes for TC approval.
6:15 pm - Public Hearing to discuss compensation to PC for permit review, hearing will be run by TC via Zoom. The council is proposing to pay the planning commission $150 per building permit to review plans for remodels and new construction.
6:30 pm - FY2021 Budget Hearing, run by the TC, via Zoom. Budget will be presented and discussed with public input.
7:00 pm - TC meeting via Zoom. Main agenda items – Approval of Land Use Code changes, Approval of ordinance specifying Planning Commission compensation for permit review, Approval of proposed FY2021 Budget, and other agenda items to be determined.
8:00 pm - End of hearings and meetings, as scheduled. If public comment exceeds allotted time, schedule will be extended to allow for more public input.
An anchor location will also be provided at 347 Luzern Way, Midway, for those who wish to attend in person. Social distancing measures will be in effect. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and a system will be provided for those who wish to make public comment and view the proceedings.
